Face-to-face evaluations are required by all insurance companies in order to be approved for DME.

Evaluations state your physical abilities/disabilities, accessibility of your environment, functional limitations, ability to perform Mobility Related Activities of Daily Living (MRADLs). It also evaluates the type of transportation you currently use or used, how power-operated equipment will increase your independence and states your ability to safely operated equipment independently or with somebody’s help.

Evaluations will assist in choosing the proper power-operated equipment; it will identify the seating and positioning products that will work best for your body and functional needs.

Also, evaluations will identify any special needs that requires custom fitting and adjustable seating to maximize function.
